Educated People v. Intelligent People

I have to chide Bryan Caplan for this post.

There are educated people and there are intelligent people, and they are not always the same. The person who built my home in Michigan has only a high school diploma, but is one of the more intelligent people I have met in my life. On the flip side, I've met many people with Ph.D.s who have plenty of book smarts, but lack simple common sense.

I recommend Bryan step out of the Ivory Tower long enough to rub elbows with some other very intelligent people. They are actually very enlightening.
